Artist Statement

My work has always revolved around experimenting with painting technique and exploring the processes involved with creating an image. Its spirit and ethos are very formal at heart and this experimentation serves as my inspiration. Secondary to this is a love for nature and the outdoors which serves as an "excuse" to paint. Therefore, it is very natural for me to work with wildlife which is, in and of itself, quite fascinating given its unbelievable richness of variation. However, my primary goal remains the same, which is to explore the endless solutions of how a painting can evolve and transform until a solution is met.
